Our Irrigation Our Lives

Insufficiency water sources and low conditions of irrigation system produce low production of rice planting of poor households in the community. In 2017, LWF Laos supports rehabilitation of irrigation system in Viengphoukha district, Luangnamtha province. The system benefits 80% of poorest households in the communities, accessed to water sources enable them to do rice planting whole year and support their vegetable gardening either for income and consumption purposes. A long with this support, LWF also provided developed genetic of rice seeds to poorest households which they can learn and widening within communities.
